The client represents taxi operators through a federation of local associations. Its membership includes independent drivers, taxi stands and fleet owners who operate multiple vehicles and employ drivers.
The Union needed a platform that would preserve this structure while giving residents and visitors the convenience they expect from a modern ride-hailing service. The product also had to keep the booking channel and the commercial value of app-based trips within the local taxi sector.
Overview
As passenger expectations shifted toward app-based services, the client faced a change in how passengers discover, book and pay for transport. A competitive response required more than a rider application. It needed a complete operating platform that reflected the Union's governance model, fixed-fare destinations, association territories, fleet ownership and member verification process.
The platform was designed as three connected products sharing one backend, one data model and one identity system. The rider application supports booking, tracking, payment, receipts and ratings. The driver application handles availability, job execution, trip history, earnings and documents. The web console gives Union and association administrators control over members, fleets, fares and ride activity.
Challenges

1. Connected rider driver and administration products. The solution combines two React Native mobile applications with a React-based web console and a shared Spring Boot backend. Updates to a trip, payment, vehicle or member record remain consistent across every authorized view.
2. Association aware operations. Associations are first-class entities with a defined location and operating radius. Drivers register against their association, while Union administrators retain visibility across the complete network.
3. Fleet dispatch and member verification. Fleet owners can map vehicles to drivers and allocate work across their fleet. Administrators can review licenses, registration, insurance and permits before approving a driver on the platform.
4. Transparent driver earnings. The driver application presents trip history and daily, weekly and monthly earnings, including fares, tips, adjustments, payout history and settlement status.
